The Grand Canyon Rotary Club was founded in 1946 by such illustrious charter members as Emery Kolb and Jack Verkamp. Over the years Grand Canyon community projects have benefited from their funding and personal efforts. For these many years the Grand Canyon and Tusayan communities have been the beneficiaries of the Club’s active participation. These efforts continue to this day for student scholarships, fire department, school, Kaibab Learning Center, and park projects. The Club’s Holiday Dinner Dance serves not only to provide for these projects, it has also become the community’s premier social occasion. In its role of providing support for the community, the Grand Canyon Rotary Club and its members have established an enviable 70-year tradition of living by “Service Above Self” motto
If you are a fellow Rotarian please join us at our weekly club meetings held every Wednesday at 12:10 in the Thunderbird room at Thuderbird Lodge located in Grand Canyon Village. For additional information about our club visit Rotarty on the Rim Club Runner.
