LETR – LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN-FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS
2011 was a great year for the Grand Canyon Law Enforcement Torch run.
The Grand Canyon Chamber partnered up with the LETR and together made 2011 the most successful year ever .
The Grand Canyon Track team was invited to participate. This was a first for the LETR, the run is usually done by
Only law enforcement.
The run kicks off in the early morning from Mather Point and continues 7 miles to the community of Tusayan
The torch was then handed off to Williams Mayor John Moore and the torch continued on its way across Arizona
It was an amazing sight to see the group coming up over the hill. Some participated not only on foot but on bike and horseback
This year’s LETR will be on Tuesday April 24th.
