Opening weekend of the Grand Canyon Music Festival's 35th Season featuring the Catalyst String Quartet performing works by Philip Glass, Javier Alvarez, Caroline Shaw, Samuel Barber, and Franz Schubert.

The Grand Canyon Music Festival's 35th Season presents The Bonfiglio Group, Robert Bonfiglio ("The Paganini of the harmonica), Joe Deninzon ("The Jimi Hendrix of the violin”), and Steve Benson, guitar, with their own blend of jazz, blues and classical styles. With special guest John Vail on bass and Bryan Stone on drums.

Clare Hoffman, flute and recorder, Joe Deninzon, violin (that’s 4 strings), Steve Benson, guitar (that’s 6 more strings), and Robert Bonfiglio, harmonica (that’s 64 reeds!) explore music from the Renaissance to today.

Clare, Joe, Steve and Robert trace a musical journey, from masters of the Renaissance like William Byrd and Tielman Susato, to today’s contemporary and pop music scenes, performing on five of the oldest, most ubiquitous, versatile, and popular instruments, the flute, recorder, violin, guitar and harmonica.

The Grand Canyon Music Festival presents the18th Season of the award-winning Native American Composer Apprentice Project. Hear new music composed by high school students from the Navajo and Hopi Nations and Sal River Pima Maricopa Indian Community performed by the Catalyst Quartet.

The Grand Canyon Music Festival's 35th Season presents The Manhattan Chamber Players, a dynamic collective of young chamber musicians, the next generation of artists molded in the traditions forged at fabled festivals like Marlboro and Ravinia, will be performing works by Beethoven, Mozart and more.
